Why I chose Bali and why I keep returning
Spending time in South-East Asia, I always knew that one day I wanted to visit Indonesia – and of course Bali, a place so many photographers from all over the world are drawn to.
When the timing felt right, I took it as a sign and booked my flight, without big expectations. And while Bali is often known as an Instagram hotspot, I was pleasantly surprised by the opposite: peace, culture and a deep sense of authenticity.
The warm-hearted locals, the unique blend of aesthetics, religion and spirituality – all of it inspires me and helps me connect with femininity and creativity. By respecting the island and its culture, and by traveling more mindfully, I found a version of Bali that feels real and magical.
So I gave Bali a chance – and here I am. 💛
